Programming LMI Roytronic Excel Pulse Multiply and Batch Accumulate

Model FM Roy 9 – Milton Roy Roytronic Excel

How to Program LMI Roytronic Excel Pulse Multiply and Batch Accumulate

This model allows input signals from an external source to be used to pace an LMI pump. The maximum multiplication number is 9,999.

Verify that the pump is off by ensuring the power LED light on the lower left side of the control is off. You can turn the LED off by pressing the power key once.

To activate the pulse multiply programming function, begin by pressing the mode key. The control mode symbols will appear on the graphical display.

Using the down key, navigate through the control modes and select the multiply mode symbol. Press the power key. The multiply mode screen will appear. Use the up key to change the multiplication number under “N.” Press the power key to activate the multiply mode.

The yellow external LED will illuminate, indicating that the pump is ready to receive a pulse signal from an external source. The graphical display will show zero. The pump is now programmed to multiply mode.

Attach the input cable to the 5-pin connector (located at the far left of the unit). Your blue and white wires are your input source.

For each input pulse, the pump will stroke however many times you have programmed and then reset. The stroke rate will be based on the internal strokes per minute of the pump.

Note: Once a pulse has been received, if a second input pulse is received before the multiply count is completed, the batch mode error indicator will appear in the upper left-hand corner. This indicates an overlap in incoming pulses. To avoid this error and allow for accumulating pulses, activate the batch accumulate mode.

To activate the batch accumulate programming function, press the mode key and navigate using the down key to “advance setup.” Press the power key.

Using the down key, navigate to the batch accumulate symbol. Press the power key, then press the up key. Now press the power key again. Press the mode key.

Now use the up key to navigate back to multiply mode, then press the power key. The batch accumulate symbol should now be present. The pump is now programmed to batch accumulate mode.

If a pulse is received before the count is complete, the pump will now accumulate additional multiply pulses, allowing all pulses to be accounted for. The maximum accumulate number is 9,999.
