Programming LMI control code nine pumps for pulse multiply and batch accumulate.
The pulse multiply and batch accumulate function allows input pulses from an external source to be used to pace your LMI pump. Our example for this exercise will demonstrate pulse multiply mode with a multiplier count of 10. Note that maximum multiplier number is 9999.
Be sure your external input cable is not connected to the pump during programming before proceeding make sure the pump is plugged into a properly grounded power source and that the pump is off. Verify the pump is off by noting that the power LED light on the lower left side of the control panel is off.
To activate the pulse multiply programming function, begin programming by pressing the mode key. The control mode symbols will appear on the graphical display using the down key. Navigate through the control modes and select the multiply mode symbol. Press the power key. The multiply mode screen will appear. Use the up key to change the multiply number under the “n”.
For this example set the number to 10. Press the power key to activate the multiply mode. The yellow external LED will illuminate indicating the pump is ready to receive a pass signal from an external source. The graphical displays shows 0. The pump is now programmed to multiply mode
Attach the input cable to the five pin connector.
Your blue and white wires are your pulse input source. For each input pulse, the pump will stroke ten times and reset. The stroke rate will be based on the internal strokes per minute setting of the pump.
Note: once a pulse has been received, if a second input pulse is received before the multiplied count is completed, the batch mode error indicator will appear in the upper left corner. This is indicating an overlap in incoming pauses. To avoid this error and allow accumulating pauses, activate batch accumulate mode.
Before proceeding, verify the pump is off by noting that the power LED light on the lower left side of the control panel is off.
To activate batch accumulate programming function, press the mode key and navigate using the down key to advance setup. Press the power key using the down key. Navigate to the batch accumulate symbol. Press the power key. Then press the up key. Now press the power key. Press the mode key now. Use the up key to navigate back to multiply mode.
Press the power key. The batch accumulate symbol is now present. The pump is now programmed to batch accumulate mode. If a pulse is received before the count is complete, the pump will now accumulate additional multiply pauses allowing all pulses to be accounted for. The maximum accumulate number is 9999.
